Domesticity was founded by Jon Lane-Smith to create smart, contemporary homewares, which are as pleasing to look at as they are to use.
Since graduating in Product & Furniture Design at Kingston University, Jon went on to work on projects in several areas including furniture, interiors and graphic design.
It was whilst working for others that he began to develop ideas to put into production himself. The ‘Shed’ coat hook was the first product to be realised and make it to the shelves, gaining huge amounts of press attention and attracting award winning recognition from Blueprint Magazine, 100% Design and Hidden Art. The Domesticity collection is continuing to grow and currently consists of storage and household accessories, influenced by clean lines and familiar graphic forms.
As well as developing new products for his own brand Jon continues to work as a freelance designer with recent clients including Habitat and Gap.
Please email if you have a project that you would like to discuss.
